Symbiosis Open Education Society, Pune, India has established Maharashtra state’s first Skill Development University namely ‘Symbiosis Skills and Professional University (SSPU)’ in 2017. The ‘State-of-Art’ campus has been constructed with specialized laboratories, workshops, and centres of excellence having specialized skill training equipment and machines from Germany and has a staff strength of 200. The University offers Degree programs in high growth sectors such as Automobile, Mechatronics, CSIT, Fintech, Data Science, Retail, Supply Chain Management, BFSI, Digital Media etc. to thousands of students.

We are looking for a dynamic leader for the position of Vice Chancellor, having qualification & experience in Engineering / Management domain and additional experience of skill development.

Candidate should have completed Ph. D. in the year 2012 or prior to that.

Candidates must have preferably 5 years of industry experience and 10 years of experience in Professor Cadre. Candidates having experience of working at senior academic administrative position such as Pro Vice Chancellor or Dean shall be preferred. He/she shall have experience of academic administration of multidisciplinary University, long experience in industry interaction, setting up new programs / departments, recruitment of faculty, drafting statutes and ordinances, preparing SOPs for Ph.D. programs, research policies, team building etc.

Candidate must have exemplary research experience and proficiency in Marathi, Hindi and English languages.

The job location is based at Pune, Maharashtra, India. Tenure of appointment will be a term of 3 years which may be renewed for a term of another 3 years.

Age of the candidate shall be below 59 years as on 31st March 2024.
