Experience : 15-18 years

We are looking for an experienced supply chain manager who can provide clear leadership and vision to the team in achieving the key performance indicators to ensure all the orders are executed within time and cost to the highest quality standards.

Preferred Industry: Plastic Pipes, PVC Pipes, Chemical, Rubber, Auto component and Textile to name few

Education: Engineering background preferred

Strategic:

• Develop the long-term strategy for the Commercial function aligned to the organization’s vision and strategic direction.

• Ensure business plan alignment with the supply chain management team resulting in efficiency in procurement, logistics and shipping processes.

• Ensure adoption of best-in-class technologies for all Commercial processes; drive automation of the same to improve efficiency and transparency.

• Develop the annual budget for the commercial team aligned to the overall business plan and budget

• Drive cost optimisation initiatives related to procurement, logistics and supply chain; Plan, design and communicate the annual procurement strategy and logistics plan in alignment with the long term strategy.

• Assess ROI of initiatives taken by the commercial team

Operational:

• Oversee effective coordination of the commercial and production teams at the plant to ensure procurement is done for the right materials in the right quantity as per the required timeline.

• Facilitate vendor management and timely negotiation and award of contracts for the efficient procurement of raw materials and services at optimum cost and quality.

• Drive long term contracting with vendor companies to achieve optimized logistics cost; ensure an efficient system to manage import/export transactions resulting in smooth incoming and outgoing logistics at the plant.

• Ensure efficient inventory management in the warehouses for raw materials and consumables across different product categories.

Process:

• Ensure updation and implementation of procedures and quality control checks for procurement and logistics activities based on industry best practices and product requirements.

• Ensure accurate reporting of procurement activities and inventory management to the board and other functions for efficient planning of production activities.

• Drive adherence to the organization risk mitigation framework covering key risk management areas (external ecosystem, operations, financial, regulatory and people).

• Ensure high productivity and engagement of the team by acting as a guide/mentor for their continual development
