Aga Khan Education Service India (AKESI) seeks to hire a Chief Warden (Residential Life Manager) for its Hostel in Hyderabad, Telangana. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in managing residential student environments. He/ She should demonstrate extensive expertise in fostering the academic, social, and cultural dimensions of hostel life, prioritizing the holistic growth of the children.
General responsibilities will include:
- Provide guidance to the team in all facets of hostel life, including the implementation of safeguarding measures and the execution of operational tasks, in accordance with the AKES Residential Curriculum and Residential Standards.
- Assist the team in effectively managing the Residential Curriculum and overseeing all other boarding services.
- Establish a comprehensive hostel development plan to facilitate ongoing enhancements in all aspects of hostel life and address areas that require improvement.
- Conduct training sessions for the Head of Hostel and Dorm Parents, focusing on pastoral care and strategies for working with adolescents.
- Develop documentation outlining processes and roles to ensure the seamless and efficient operation of the hostel.
- Establish and document a robust Residential Life Program for the hostel.
- Undertake any additional responsibilities as assigned by the organization.
Qualification:
Qualifications in social work, education, child development or similar areas (Masters Degree or equivalent will be preferred).
Experience:
Substantive knowledge and relevant experience of successfully managing a hostel, leading teams, providing vision, inspiring motivation, generating enthusiasm and empowering a culture of service delivery which meets AKESI standards for performance.
