Qualification : BA & MA & B.ED in Social Science

Experience : 2 to 5 years as an HOD/PGT

Salary : 50k to 55k depending upon the last drawn salary and candidature

Roles & Responsibilities

Leading and driving theSocial Studies Curriculum
Developing and implementing acoherent and progressive curriculumfor the department
Ensuring that the department’s teaching and learning strategies areeffective and engaging
Providingleadership and guidanceto the department’s teachers
Conductingperformance appraisalsand providing feedback to the members of the department
Ensuring that the department’sassessment practicesare effective and aligned with the school’s policies
Ensuring that the department’sresourcesare up-to-date and relevant
Ensuring that the department’spolicies and proceduresare in line with the school’s policies
Ensuring that the department’sbudgetis managed effectively
Ensuring that the department’sextra-curricular activitiesare engaging and relevant
Ensuring that the department’scommunicationwith parents and other stakeholders is effective and timely
Ensuring that the department’sprofessional developmentis aligned with the school’s goals and objectives
Ensuring that the department’ssafeguardingpolicies and procedures are in line with the school’s policies
