Job description:
PGT English teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality education to students, fostering a positive learning environment, and contributing to the overall development of students in accordance with the CBSE curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Planning and Implementation:
- Develop and implement lesson plans in accordance with the CBSE curriculum.
- Design engaging and interactive teaching materials to facilitate effective learning.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance the learning experience.
Classroom Management:
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Manage and maintain discipline within the classroom.
- Encourage student participation and engagement in class activities.
Assessment and Evaluation:
- Conduct regular assessments to evaluate student progress.
- Provide constructive feedback on assignments and assessments.
- Organize and participate in parent-teacher meetings to discuss student performance.
Student Development:
- Foster intellectual, emotional, and social development of students.
- Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication skills.
- Provide guidance and support to students in their academic and personal growth.
Professional Development:
- Stay updated on the latest developments in English language and literature education.
- Attend workshops, seminars, and training sessions to enhance teaching skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and resources.
School Activities:
- Actively participate in school events, committees, and extracurricular activities.
- Support the school’s vision and mission in all aspects of teaching and learning.
Qualifications:
- Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in English.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Previous teaching experience in a CBSE school is preferred.
