About the Role:

At Bloomingdale International School, we are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Teacher to deliver the International Baccalaureate (IB) Curriculum. This role is an exciting opportunity for a professional who is passionate about providing innovative and inquiry-based education to young learners in their formative years.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement the IB Early Years Programme (EYP) curriculum, fostering a stimulating learning environment.
• Encourage a spirit of inquiry and a love of learning in young children.
• Utilize a variety of instructional methods, such as interactive activities, hands-on experiences, and multimedia, to enhance children’s learning experiences.
• Regularly assess student progress using both formative and summative evaluation techniques.
• Engage in continuous dialogue with parents, updating them on their child’s progress and participation.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to develop interdisciplinary learning experiences.
• Participate in ongoing professional development related to the IB curriculum and early childhood education.
• Adhere to and uphold IB standards and practices within the classroom.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience teaching in an IB EYP or similar inquiry-based learning environment.
• A strong understanding of early childhood development and the latest educational practices.
• A creative approach to teaching and curriculum planning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of education.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, preferably with an emphasis on early childhood education.
• Certification or licensure in teaching.
