Role & responsibilities
1. Library Management: Oversee the organization, cataloging, and management of library resources, including books, periodicals, multimedia, and digital materials.
2. Reader Services: Assist patrons with finding and accessing library materials, provide guidance on research strategies, and offer recommendations for reading materials.
3. Acquisition and Collection Development: Evaluate and select materials for acquisition, review publication lists, and maintain updated and relevant collections based on user needs and interests.
4. Reference and Information Services: Offer reference and information services to support patrons in research, inquiries, and the use of library resources, including digital databases and archives.
5. Library Programs: Plan and execute library programs, events, and workshops to engage the community, promote literacy, and support educational initiatives.
6. Cataloging and Maintenance: Maintain accurate records and metadata of library materials using cataloging systems, ensuring easy retrieval and access for patrons.
