Position Overview:

Wheaton International Christian Academy is seeking dedicated and well-qualified Christian teachers to join our online school community. As a Christian Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering a Christ-centred education that combines the esteemed Cambridge curriculum with Christian values. You will inspire and guide students on their academic and spiritual journey, fostering holistic development and nurturing their hearts and minds.

Responsibilities:

1. Curriculum Delivery: Implement the Cambridge curriculum effectively, adapting instructional strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners. Create engaging lesson plans that integrate Christian values, encouraging critical thinking and active participation.
2. Online Instruction: Deliver live online classes using our virtual learning platform. Foster an interactive and inclusive virtual classroom environment that promotes student engagement, discussion, and collaboration.
3. Spiritual Mentorship: Integrate Christian principles into your teaching, supporting students in their spiritual growth and character development. Serve as a role model, guiding students towards a deeper understanding of faith and values.
4. Assessment and Feedback: Design meaningful assessments that evaluate students’ understanding and progress. Provide timely and constructive feedback that supports their academic and spiritual growth.
5. Individualized Support: Identify and address the unique learning needs of students. Offer additional support and resources as required, ensuring every student has the opportunity to thrive.
6. Communication: Maintain open communication with students, parents, and colleagues. Respond promptly to inquiries and concerns, fostering a sense of community and partnership.
7. Professional Development: Stay updated on the latest educational trends, pedagogical methods, and curriculum advancements. Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your teaching skills.
8. Collaboration: Collaborate with fellow educators, sharing best practices, resources, and innovative teaching strategies. Contribute to the development of a supportive and collaborative teaching community.

Qualifications:

– Strong commitment to Christian faith and values, with a desire to integrate these principles into education.

– Bachelors degree in education or certification in education in a relevant field.

– Teaching certification or equivalent qualification in your subject area.

– Familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum or willingness to undergo necessary training.

– Experience in online instruction or a strong willingness to adapt to virtual teaching environments.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

– Passion for inspiring and guiding students on their spiritual and academic journey.
