Job Title: English Teacher

Job Overview: An English Teacher is responsible for teaching the English language, literature, writing, and critical thinking skills to students. The role involves designing a curriculum, conducting classes, assessing student performance, and fostering an environment conducive to effective learning and communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Curriculum Development and Lesson Planning:

    • Develop a well-structured curriculum for teaching English, including lesson plans, learning objectives, and educational materials.
    • Design engaging and interactive lessons that cover various aspects of the English language, literature, grammar, writing, and speaking skills.
  2. Teaching and Instruction:

    • Deliver lessons on grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing techniques, literature analysis, and effective communication.
    • Utilize a variety of teaching methods, multimedia resources, and interactive activities to cater to different learning styles and enhance comprehension.
  3. Literature and Literary Analysis:

    • Introduce students to a diverse range of literary works, literary periods, authors, and literary genres to promote critical thinking and understanding of literary elements.
    • Encourage students to analyze and interpret literary texts, characters, themes, and literary devices, fostering a deeper appreciation for literature.
  4. Writing Skills Development:

    • Provide constructive feedback on students writing, helping them enhance their writing style, structure, and clarity.
  5. Assessment and Evaluation:

  6. Communication and Language Proficiency:

    • Promote effective communication skills by encouraging verbal expression, active listening, and confident public speaking.

  7. Classroom Management:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or higher in English, English Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
