Role & responsibilities

Sr. Science Mentor / Teacher defines how school students learn science through experimentation. He/she innovates the pedagogy of teaching science experimentally, invoking the passion for asking questions, observation, and analysis among students, making them learners and problem solvers forever.

S/he would teach science concepts through experiments online wherein mentor would cover the theoretical aspects of the concepts and demonstrate the experiments which students would perform simultaneously with you using the Lab-in-a-box science kit supplied to them. We provide this experiential learning to the students from grade 6 to grade 10. Overall your role and responsibilities would be as follows:

1. Teach scientific concepts through experiments. Bring about the experimental part of science learning to the fore.
2. Design innovative experiments for effectively convey the concepts.
3. Make science learning exciting and encourage students to do more experiments, exploration and tinkering.
4. Design quizzes, assignments, reference materials about the concept.
5. Clarify students doubts online and offline.
6. Assist other mentors to conduct the live sessions.
7. Keep innovating on the experiments, materials, process and make the learning, teaching exciting and innovative.

Our focus on the Design of Experiments and Design of Experience ensures that when students do experiments, they are fully engaged with the process of learning; they are curious observers; they analyze and learn. We are one of the most innovative units changing school education.

We have started online live classes in which science experiments would be performed live by the mentors and simultaneously performed by the students using the science kits supplied to them.

Preferred candidate profile

Candidate should be MSc/PhD in Physics/Chemistry/Biochemistry/Biology preferably with 1-2 years of teaching experience. Freshers can also apply. Degree in education (BEd, MEd) would be an added advantage. You should have excellent presentation and communication skills apart from clarity on the theoretical concepts. You should be able to work as team and support other mentors in making their teaching effective.
