Responsibilities:

Curriculum Development: Develop and enhance the Economics curriculum, incorporating the latest advancements in the subject area and ensuring it aligns with educational standards and school guidelines.

Classroom Instruction: Plan and deliver comprehensive and stimulating lessons on various topics in economics to students at the secondary level. Utilize innovative teaching methods to enhance students’ comprehension and interest in the subject.

Student Assessment: Regularly evaluate and assess students’ progress through tests, quizzes, assignments, and examinations. Provide constructive feedback to students and parents to encourage academic growth.

Classroom Management: Create a conducive learning environment by maintaining discipline, promoting respect, and fostering a positive classroom atmosphere.

Individualized Attention: Identify the strengths and weaknesses of individual students and provide extra support or challenges as needed to help them achieve their academic goals.

Co-curricular Activities: Actively participate in school events, clubs, and extracurricular activities related to economics or other subjects to encourage holistic development in students.

Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest educational trends, teaching methodologies, and advancements in the field of economics through workshops, seminars, and professional development programs.

Parent-Teacher Communication: Collaborate with parents/guardians to keep them informed about their child’s progress, academic performance, and overall behavior.

School Administration: Participate in staff meetings, school committees, and other administrative tasks as required by the school management.

Requirements:

Educational Qualification: A Master’s Degree (PGT) in Economics from a recognized university or institution.

Teaching Certification: A B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) qualification or equivalent specializing in Economics.

Experience: Prior teaching experience at the secondary level, especially in delivering economics-related subjects, is preferred but not mandatory.

Subject Expertise: A deep understanding of economic principles, theories, and concepts. Familiarity with macroeconomics, microeconomics, international economics, and economic policies is essential.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex economic concepts in a clear and comprehensible manner.

Passion for Teaching: A genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a love for economics among students.

Classroom Management: Strong classroom management skills to maintain discipline and create a positive learning environment.

Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
