Research and Teaching Scholar needed in a Management Institute in Electronic City Phase1, Bangalore.
Job Purpose:
The Research and Teaching Scholar will contribute to the academic and research activities of the business school. This role involves assisting faculty members in their research projects, providing support in classroom instruction, contributing to the administration of assigned units and departments, and contributing to the overall academic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Research Assistance:
Collaborate with faculty members and other researchers to provide assistance in research projects, including data collection, literature reviews, and analysis.
Compile and organize research materials, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Assist in the preparation of research reports, papers, and presentations.
Stay updated with the latest developments in the field and contribute to discussions and brainstorming sessions.
Teaching Support:
Assist faculty members in classroom activities, including preparing materials, setting up technology, and managing student participation.
Provide support in grading assignments, exams, and other assessments.
Facilitate discussions, study groups, or tutorials to enhance student learning and comprehension.
Respond to student inquiries and provide clarifications on course content and assignments.
Administrative Tasks:
Help in the preparation and maintenance of course materials, including syllabi, lecture notes, and presentations.
Assist in organizing and coordinating academic events, such as seminars, workshops, and conferences.
Maintain records and databases related to research projects, publications, and teaching materials.
Provide general administrative support to the department or faculty members as needed.
Professional Development:
Participate in workshops, training sessions, and professional development activities to enhance research and teaching skills.
Stay current with instructional best practices and research methodologies in the field.
Network with other research and teaching scholars to share knowledge and experiences.
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., business administration, management, finance, marketing, economics, etc.).
Strong interest in research and teaching within the field of business.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in relevant software and technology tools.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Job location: Bangalore
Work from office – Monday – Saturday – 10 am – 7 pm
