Role – Vertical Head
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Department for our Visual Communication vertical within the education industry. In this role, you will collaborate with teams across various university partners to ensure the seamless execution of our programs in accordance with the designed pedagogy. Your primary responsibility will be to drive the academic and business success of our visual communication programs.
Responsibilities:
● Plan, develop, and execute Visual Communication programs across multiple locations in accordance with the Board of Studies (BOS) and NAAC requirements.
● Review and update the curriculum to ensure it aligns with BOS and NAAC standards across all locations.
● Ensure that the curriculum and program meet industry, university, and government standards.
● Collaborate with other departments to plan and execute inter-departmental projects and collaborations.
● Ensure consistent and high-quality program delivery across all centers.
● Manage the team, including program leads and faculty, providing development opportunities and support.
● Monitor faculty loading and utilization across all locations, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
● Assist the Admissions team in achieving the vertical’s goals by participating in the admission process and providing necessary
support.
● Drive revenue generation and optimization for the Visual Communication vertical, identifying opportunities to maximize revenue
streams.
● Oversee student onboarding, retention, and success strategies across all locations.
● Monitor student satisfaction levels and feedback across all locations, implementing necessary improvements.
● Manage the utilization of gear, studios, and infrastructure to ensure efficient usage and maintenance.
Specific Skill Set
● Strong knowledge of industry standards and trends in Film Making, Photography, Graphic designing.
● A bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field, such as Film Making, Visual Arts, or Media Studies, Management Studies.
● Proven experience in curriculum development and execution, preferably in an academic setting.
● Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
● Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
● Experience in team management and faculty development is preferred.
● Proficiency in monitoring revenue generation and optimization strategies.
● Familiarity with student onboarding, retention, and success initiatives.
