Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensure that the school vision and development plan are effective and pertinent to the schools overall goal.
- Provide pedagogic leadership to advance proven teaching and learning practices.
- Create an organization structure that reflects the schools values, and enables the management systems, structures and processes to work effectively in line with CBSE/state Ministry requirements and by adopting the appropriate policies.
- Produce and implement clear, evidence-based improvement plans and policies for the development of the school and its facilities..
- Manage the school’s human resources in keeping with the school policies in order to ensure effectiveness and efficiency in achieving the school’s educational goals and priorities.
- Recruit, retain and deploy staff appropriately and manage their workload to achieve the vision and goals of the school.
- Ensure qualifications of new staff meet CBSE guidelines.
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of students and staff.
- Develop suitable quality assurance systems, including school review, self-evaluation and performance management and present a coherent, understandable and accurate account of the school’s performance at board meetings and to the CBSE when required..
- Seek opportunities to invite parents, community figures, businesses or other organization heads into school to enhance and enrich the school and its value to the wider community linking with the events.
- To be responsible for the overseeing admission process for new students.
- Act as the named person within the school’s child protection policy.
- Ensure the school operates within the guidelines of the Ministry of Education/CBSE.
