The R&D Manager will be responsible for designing, developing, establishing and maintaining the Grand Polycoats product portfolio of certain business segments including conducting product trials at customer site.

Job Description

Technical functions:

• Knowledge of organization’s requirement in terms of product performance and pricing
• Be able to identify and source new raw materials that may be required for desired product performance
• Knowledge of various product chemistries, their reaction, and awareness about operation methodology and system
• Exposure to various customers line of a particular segment
• Hands-on experience with various application equipment and technique
• Be able to understand the defects, their cause and offer solutions
• Reply to the application related queries and/or other queries of field staff, sales associates related to the product

Administrative functions:

• Be well versed with SAP and other computer skills such as MS Office applications
• Maintaining & update product records
• Preparation of development report and maintenance as per ISO standards
• Independent raw material evaluation
• Have the ability to manage a team, teach them and motivate them to excel

Key result areas:

• Develop products in stipulated time
• Establishing products at customer’s line or addressing customer’s line related issues
• Execution of sample within a stipulated time limit
• Evaluation and compilation of raw material
