Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in English (M.A. English) from a recognized university.
• Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree from a recognized institution.

Responsibilities:

• Teach English to students in classes XI and XII, following the school’s curriculum and guidelines.
• Create engaging lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments that align with the learning objectives and promote language proficiency, literary analysis, and critical thinking skills.
• Foster a love for literature and language by introducing students to a variety of literary works, poetry, plays, and prose.
• Promote effective communication skills through activities that develop students’ reading, writing, listening, and speaking abilities.
• Encourage student creativity and expression through the use of creative writing prompts, projects, and presentations.
• Facilitate student learning through effective classroom management, interactive teaching methods, and the integration of technology and resources.
• Assess and evaluate student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback to students and parents/guardians.
• Monitor and support student academic and personal growth, identifying areas of improvement and providing necessary guidance and counseling.
• Collaborate with colleagues in the development of curriculum, interdisciplinary projects, and school-wide initiatives.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress, concerns, and achievements.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development activities, and school events as required.
• Stay updated with the latest trends, research, and best practices in English language teaching and literature to enhance teaching skills and methodologies.

Requirements:

• M.A. degree in English or related field from a recognized university.
• B.Ed. degree from a recognized institution.
• Relevant teaching experience, preferably in a secondary school setting.
• Strong command of the English language, including grammar, vocabulary, and literature.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
• Passion for teaching and the ability to inspire students’ love for the English language and literature.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in using technology, educational software, and learning management systems for instructional purposes.
• Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and achievement.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and willingness to stay updated with developments in English language teaching and literature.
• Understanding of and adherence to the school’s policies, procedures, and code of conduct.
