Job Title: Assistant Manager HR

Experience: 2+ years

Location: Gurugram

Responsibilities

• Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, taxes, and other deductions
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates
• Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions
• Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations, including but not limited to labour laws and data privacy laws
• Identify and recommend updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures
• Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors
• Collaborate with Human Resources (HR) and accounting teams
• Resolve issues and answer payroll-related questions

Qualifications

• Proven experience in payroll management or similar role
• Current knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws
• Familiarity with payroll software/HRMS and MS Office (especially Excel)
• Organizational, communication and leadership skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
• A keen eye for detail
• Relevant experience in an early stage start-up is a plus
