Job Summary: As a Career Counselor, your primary responsibility is to assist students in identifying their career goals. You will provide guidance, support, and resources to help students make informed decisions about their careers, explore various occupational paths. Your expertise in psychology will enable you to assess students interests, skills, values, and personality traits to help them align their career choices with their personal aspirations.
Key Responsibilities:.
1. Marg (www.margforyou.com) is a proprietary tool of ERA Foundation .Administer Marg and interpret career assessments, aptitude tests, and interest inventories to gain insights into students’ strengths, skills, and preferences. Help students understand and interpret the results to inform their career choices.
2. Career Exploration: Provide resources, information, and guidance on various careers, industries, job markets, and educational opportunities. Help students research and evaluate potential career paths and understand the qualifications and skills required in different fields.
3. Career Workshops and Presentations: Conduct workshops, seminars, and group sessions on career-related topics .Present information in an engaging and accessible manner to diverse audiences.
4. Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development activities, such as attending conferences, workshops, and webinars, to enhance your counseling skills, stay abreast of industry changes, and maintain licensure or certifications if required.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (B.A. Psychology) or a related field.
· Knowledge of psychological theories, career development models, and counseling techniques.
· Experienced school teachers can also be trained by us to become effective counsellors
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with atudents
– Additional language knowledge ie Kannada, Tamil , Telugu ,Marathi is a plus.
