Key Responsibilities:
Music Theory Instruction:
· Teach students the fundamental concepts of music theory, including scales, intervals, chords, and harmony.
· Provide instruction on the notation of harmony, including chord symbols, chord progressions, and harmonic analysis.
· Guide students in understanding the relationship between melody and harmony in music.
Harmony Techniques and Analysis:
· Instruct students on various harmony techniques, such as voice leading, chord voicings, and harmonic substitutions.
· Teach students to analyze and identify harmonies within musical compositions, including identifying chord progressions and harmonic structures.
· Demonstrate and explain the principles of harmonic progression, cadences, and modulation.
Ear Training and Sight Singing:
· Develop students’ ability to identify and reproduce harmonies by ear through ear training exercises.
· Provide instruction in sight singing, helping students to read and perform harmony parts from sheet music accurately.
Individual and Group Instruction:
· Conduct individual or group harmony lessons, adapting teaching methods to suit the needs and skill levels of each student.
· Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help students improve their understanding and execution of harmony principles.
· Collaborate with other music teachers or ensemble directors to reinforce harmony concepts in ensemble settings.
Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development:
· Develop lesson plans and instructional materials to facilitate the teaching of harmony concepts.
· Design exercises, assignments, and projects that reinforce and apply harmony principles.
· Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, quizzes, exams, or performance evaluations.
Performance Preparation:
· Assist students in applying harmony principles to their performance repertoire, such as selecting appropriate harmonies or arranging chord progressions.
· Guide students in preparing harmonies for vocal or instrumental ensembles, ensuring they blend well with other performers.
Communication and Collaboration:
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Strong knowledge and understanding of music theory, harmony principles, and chord progressions.
2. Proficiency in playing a musical instrument, such as piano or guitar, to demonstrate harmony concepts effectively.
3. Experience teaching harmony or music theory to students of different ages and skill levels.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey complex musical concepts and provide feedback to students.
5. Patience and enthusiasm to motivate and inspire students in their exploration of harmony.
6. Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to suit individual student needs.
7. Organizational skills to plan and structure lessons effectively and manage student assessments and progress tracking.
8. Proficiency in music notation software and related technology may be beneficial.

Salary: ₹40,000.00 – ₹50,000.00 per month
