Job Responsibilities*Provide managerial oversight and execution of different aspects of academic degree programs including adherence to the program-level learning outcomes and course-level learning outcomes, and acting as the crucial bridge between the students and the administration
Own the P&L of academic activities, initiatives and plans for all programs, and share ideas on streamlining revenue streams to strengthen the delivery and execution of academic plans
Act as the point of contact between the Dean and the programs team and be accountable to the Dean or senior faculty nominated by the Dean for the success or failure of programs Engage with other academic institutions in law and allied areas for knowledge transfer on curriculum design, course curation, delivery and pedagogy to suggest ideas for any new initiatives
Monitor industry needs in coordination with the career service office and accordingly suggest changes to the curriculum, pedagogy, best practices, and co/extra-curricular engagement
Plan, contribute to and execute budgetary outlay for co-/extra-curricular activities including but not limited to student affairs, cultural activities and other in-bound/out-bound activities Ensure safety and security of examination related documents such as question papers, answer sheets etc. Should have basic understanding of data privacy tools and techniques
Ensure the availability and readiness of Teaching Associates (TAs)/Teaching and Research Fellows (TRFs) for the smooth delivery of programs
Plan, coordinate, contribute to, and execute implementation of all academic programs in coordination with TA/TRF(s) and faculty; present end-semester report to the Dean, and suggest suitable remedial measures/areas of improvement, if any
Lead, manage, prepare, coordinate, and/or present administrative requirements of the programs, including academic calendar, timetable, teaching allocation, preparing the overall student engagement framework, program implementation plan, financial management of academic activities, procurement and provisioning to meet needs of academic activities, contract set-up and compliance etc. Managing relationship with the parents of UG students: parents will have several questions and anxieties about academic performance, attendance, safety, disciplinary issues of their children studying with us Keep track and record of outcomes of assessments (internal and end-term) for students and inform the student and/or faculty about any red flags in a timely manner
Keep track and record of attendance of students, manage the documentary evidence submitted to support absence from classes, prepare attendance report for cohorts to discuss with relevant offices/Dean to prepare de-bar list Support the process of examination in coordination with faculty/TAs/TRFs and ensure that the results are published in a timely manner Track overall program execution and suggest modification to the existing approach/ work-plan in a timely manner, as needed, to meet overall program objectives
Proactively identify and manage key risks and dependencies to meet program objectives in stipulated timelines
Ensure proactive and timely documentation on program performance indicators and timely communication on progress to internal and external stakeholders
Preferred QualificationsMaster’s degree with 5-8 years of experience preferably in the Education IndustryPrior work experience in a law school, and cursory understanding of the regulatory requirements of attendance and examinations, are desirable but not mandatory
Proven experience as program manager or other managerial position
Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods
Excellent Knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and key metrics
Outstanding knowledge of data analysis, reporting and budgeting
Go-getter attitude takes complete ownership of the targets as well as delivery portfolio Ability to multitask and coordinate with multiple stakeholders
Excellent communication and networking skills, influencing & negotiation skills
Student centered professional in higher education with the ability and experience to interact and support a diverse student body in a positive, friendly, and welcoming manner.Managing with cultural and social awareness and ability to have honest communication with sensitivity with parents. Ability to speak and understand Marathi should be preferred. Understanding of Indian Higher Education landscape and related policies
