PGT Biology Teacher for Class 11 & 12 (CBSE Curriculum).
Qualification: M.Sc. in Biology Subject with B.Ed. with 2 to 3 years experience in a CBSE School.
Responsibilities:
A Senior Secondary Biology PGT (Post Graduate Teacher) is responsible for teaching Biology to students in classes 11th and 12th. The roles and responsibilities of a Senior Secondary Biology PGT teacher may include, but are not limited to:
1. Preparing lesson plans and delivering lectures: The Senior Secondary Biology PGT teacher is responsible for creating lesson plans and delivering lectures on various topics in Biology. They need to be able to effectively communicate complex scientific concepts to students and create engaging learning experiences.
2. Assessing student performance: The teacher should regularly assess student progress and understanding of the subject matter through assignments, quizzes, and tests. They should provide feedback to students and guide them on areas where they need to improve.
3. Creating assessments: The teacher should create assessments such as exams, projects, and lab assignments that accurately measure students’ understanding of the subject.
4. Managing classroom: The teacher should maintain classroom discipline and ensure that the classroom environment is conducive to learning.
5. Grading: The teacher should grade students’ work promptly and fairly.
6. Professional development: The teacher should engage in professional development activities such as attending workshops, conferences, and training programs to stay up-to-date with the latest teaching methods and scientific discoveries.
7. Providing support to students: The teacher should provide guidance and support to students who are struggling with the subject or are in need of extra help.
8. Communication with parents and other stakeholders: The teacher should maintain regular communication with parents and other stakeholders, such as school administrators, to ensure that they are informed about students’ progress and any issues that may arise.
9. Curriculum development: The teacher should work with other teachers to develop and refine the Biology curriculum to ensure that it meets the needs of students and is aligned with current scientific knowledge.
10. Participating in school activities: The teacher should actively participate in school activities such as sports, cultural events, and community service projects.
