The Email Marketing Specialist will be responsible for helping manage the operational setup and approvals for our dedicated email sends, and also ensure our lists are clean, our emails are hitting inboxes, and our lists are monetizing to keep us on track for growth.

Duties include managing online marketing workflow to meet all deadlines and send dates, and tracking the efficacy of these sends. This person will also have to coordinate internally with the web team and product managers. The ideal candidate will have some experience with online advertising and possess the desire to learn and help shape their internal marketing strategy.

Candidates should have a basic understanding of campaign costs, response rates, and the ability to optimize to meet campaign objectives and goals.

Candidates should be innovative, team-oriented, effective communicators, and have the desire to participate in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.

We need an Email Marketing Specialist to own and manage our email marketing campaigns, execute A/B testing, and contribute to our monetization strategy.

● Coordinate with web, production, copy and art teams to manage the operational/creative campaign setups.

● Maintain historical records of campaign creative.

● Proactively manage workflow to ensure deadlines are met.

● Run reporting and analyze data for marketing efforts. Track our KPIs, benchmarks, and keep reporting organized and easy to read.

● Set up and track performance of email campaigns. This includes tracking link generation and management.

● Track list monetization and growth.

● Build campaign efforts in our ESPs, ActiveCampaign, Aweber & Sendy.

● Manage our lists, keeping them clean and organized

● Segmentation and targeting for our email campaigns

● Set up and test emails for internal dedicated sends as well as affiliate swaps.

● Build and maintain strong working relationships with multiple internal departments as well as our affiliates.

● 1-2 years of experience in an email marketing or advertising role.

● Understanding of marketing copy.

● Comfortable with analyzing data and making decisions.

● Ability to work independently and solve problems without persistent guidance from your supervisor.

● Willingness to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.

● Ability to work well under deadlines in a changing environment.

● Ability to perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently is a must!

● Demonstrated ability to think analytically, solve problems, make decisions and use sound judgment.

● Ability and desire to understand and discuss new technical concepts.

● Comfortable analyzing and making decisions based on campaign performance data.
