Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Play a significant leadership and management role in the ongoing development of the B.Pharm, M.Pharm, Pharm D & Post Baccalaureate programme.
2. Maintain overall supervision of teaching programs and guidance of teaching staff including in-service education of staff.
3. Promote Career Planning services through in-class presentations, student organization outreach, New Student Orientation, and in concert with college support services.
4. Responsible for organizing the workload of staff including teaching assignments.
5. Determines the scope & responsibility of each teaching & non-teaching staff.
6. Represent the institution, such as quality assurance, learning, and teaching, international development, enterprise, research, or research ethics.
7. Provide supervision and mentorship to the faculty team, supporting them in the development of their personal research track records and research impact.
8. Promotes staff participation in research.
9. Identify industries/institutions for collaboration and involvement of the Institute in various associations / academic bodies, etc. to integrate educational initiatives and resources
10. Follow up and coordinate the activities relating to the Ranking, Accreditation, Outreach, etc., and establish connections with government / non-Government agencies at both State and Central levels;
11. Assisting in yearly teacher evaluations, assisting in providing guidance to staff and students, and encouraging a positive climate in the college.
12. Attend seminars and other training opportunities for professional development.
13. Participation in the college’s committee work.
14. Generate employment opportunities for students and alumni by establishing and maintaining productive employer partnerships.
15. Providing timely feedback to the coordinators in terms of the scope of improvement
16. Responsible for Recruiting college Professors, Lecturers, and other staff members.
17. Responsible for all documentation work regarding college admissions and play a leading role in the student admission process
18. Maintain Alumni Students database.
19. Any other assignments as directed by the managing committee
Desired Candidate Profile
1. Candidates must hold a Ph.D in Pharmacy in any specialty. Should have a minimum of 20 yrs of work experience in Teaching and Administration
2. Should have minimum 5 years of experience as a principal in NIRF / NAAC Ranked Institutions
3. He/She should know the regulation of THE Dr. MGR University.,
4. Should have a vast knowledge of a research program
5. Should have a vast knowledge of NAAC Accreditation
6. Should have vast knowledge in Academics and Administration.
