Qualification and Experience Ph.D. in optics, biomedical optics, or a related field. Effective communication skills, experience with MATLAB and/or Python, and Zemax software are highly desirable. The applicant should have the ability to work in a team. Any experience with adaptive optics and visual optics is a plus.

Period of engagement 1 year (extendable based on performance and funding availability)

Job duties

1. Develop a high-resolution adaptive optics scanning laser ophthalmoscope for imaging the living human retina.

2. Research on novel methods for wavefront sensing and adaptive optics correction.

3. The position will provide opportunities for advancing the applicant’s career (teaching, research, and professional development).
