Job Description:
Educational Qualifications as prescribed by respective Council/ UGC. Minimum 10 years of experience of Teaching/Industry/Research Organisations/Professional at Senior Executive level excluding the period spent on obtaining the research degree, with post Ph.D. experience of 10 years and minimum 5 years of experience as Associate Professor.
Minimum 15 research papers published in refereed Indexed Journals of high impact factor. Authored Books/Monographs/Reports with reputed publishers.
In addition to the above, they should have experience of guiding project works/ dissertation of PG/ Research students or supervising R&D projects in industry. Should have demonstrated leadership in planning and organising academic, research, industrial and /or professional activities. Should have the capacity to undertake/lead sponsored R&D Projects, Consultancy and related activities.
Academic Areas:
* Teaching Load as assigned to a Professor
* Modernization of Curriculum.
* Focus on Teaching Methodologies
* Proper documentation Of Course files/ Teaching material.
* Introducing new specialized Courses & electives.
* Enter into MOUs/ Collaborations with reputed Organizations
* Launch new Short Term/Long Term programs as per prevailing market scenario so as to be up-to-date with requirements
* Improve overall Faculty Profiling and assist in Quality Recruitment
Student Areas:
* Focus on increasing Admissions (Enrolments) – UG/ PG/Ph.D for concerned Departments.
* Improve overall Perception of Parents / Students towards DIT University and deal with grievances as applicable
* Prepare students for various competitive examinations Eg. NET, CAT , GRE, GMAT etc. and consequent Admission to Top National / International Universities
* Focus on Quality Placements and prepare students for Campus Recruitments in Top Global Brands
* Arranging specialized classes on emerging areas through internal and external resources.
Research Areas:
* Focus on Individual & Departmental Research – Projects, Papers/ Journals etc.
* Focus on Individual & Departmental Consultancy.
* Facilitate Student Projects
* Work on getting Government Grants for Research, Labs, Projects etc.
* Work towards International & National Collaborations as applicable.
Administrative Areas:
* Steps to improve the overall revenue of the Department and cost optimization
* Improve the overall work culture in the departments under your purview as Dean
Accreditations & Rankings:
* Prepare at Department level for applying for Accreditations and National/ International Rankings.
