We are looking to hire a Political Analyst who can conduct research and analysis on current policies and political events, and to report on their findings. You should be able to use qualitative and quantitative research methods to develop political theories and forecast political, economic, and social trends.

• Researching political systems, foreign relations, government laws and regulations, and political ideologies and evaluating the effects of these on political, social, Government and economic spheres.
• Collecting data from various sources, such as historical documents, public opinion surveys, and election results to develop and test political theories.
• Monitor current events, policy decisions, and legislation changes.
• Review, evaluate, and monitor policies and legislation to determine their benefits, flaws, and impacts.
• Liaise with stakeholders to understand and document needs, concerns, and viewpoints.
• Gather, analyze, integrate, and report on quantitative and qualitative data.
• Managing ad hoc analysis and presenting results to various stakeholders.
• Working alongside teams to drive and establish business needs.
• Uncover new trends, variables, and frameworks to gain insights beyond the obvious.
• Understand existing data processes and suggest improvements to various data pipelines.
• Own assigned tasks and ensure best results from deliverables within tight deadlines.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism and media.
• Proven 3 yrs of experience as a political analyst, or in a similar role within a political or government department.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Superlative written and verbal communication skills.
• Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
