Wazir Education Society (WES) is an NGO working at the grass root level towards providing literacy to the underserved kids of tribal communities of Dhanpuri, Shahdol, Madhya Pradesh, India. We work with government primary schools to enhance the level of literacy in a fun way. We reward the performing students by giving them the chance to play video games.

Our specific focus is on providing computer literacy whereby the students get to learn the fundamental of computers in our fully equipped computer lab. We teach english, math, hindi, science, and commerce subjects based on the needs of our students known as Focus Study Group. We have a Mentorship Programme for students from Class 10th and above to help in their academic career journey.

We are looking for people who could come and join us in Dhanpuri to work with local communities for the duration of 1-3 months. It is a residential program where you’ll be hosted in local accommodations with food and basic amenities.

Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Visit the families at their houses and motivate them to educate their kids

2. Inspire the kids to dream bigger and work harder to achieve their goals

3. Visit the government schools we are associated with to engage with the students and teachers

4. Host fun and interactive activities once a week in every government school we are associated with

5. Build a cordial relationship with the kids, their families, local teachers, and local authorities
