  • Responsibility: Lead course development with university faculty and own complete responsibility for three courses at a time
  • Tasks:
  • Course kick-off
    • Lead course kick-off with client stakeholders and SME
    • Onboard SMEs on course processes and establish a collaboration framework
  • Course plan
    • Create course plan including course outline, assessment plan, and media outline, mapping learning objectives (LOs) and activities based on SME inputs
    • Align learning objectives (weekly LOs with course LOs and WLOs and CLOs with activities)
    • Write WLOs based on SME inputs
  • Course guide
    • Create weekly content in the course guide based on the approved course plan and SME inputs (reading resources, instructor guide, student guide, instructions, interactive media, assignments, discussions, quizzes, alt text, video transcripts/voiceover texts)
    • Create visual storyboard/wireframe with the design team (based on inputs from SMEs)
    • Coordinate with the build team and review the built courses on Canvas
    • Coordinate with assessment specialists to get the rubrics finalized
  • Reviews
    • Review learning resources from third-party publishing sites and coordinate with relevant client stakeholders to get approvals for the resources
    • Implement copyediting, ID peer reviewer, and client (faculty) feedback
    • Conduct peer review of course guides
