Understanding of the students’ academic, social & emotional needs and helping them achieve the desired objectives through intervention plans.
Proper record maintenance for each student academic and non-academic performance.
Maintaining positive interactive / rapport with students/parents/teachers.
One-point contact for addressing any concern / feedback from the parents / students.
Handling parent relations and complaints and resolving their issues/concerns/grievances and if need be report / escalate the same to management.
Implementation of a strong resolution mechanism in order to achieve timely solutions for the concerns received from the existing parents.
Advising and overseeing that the parents / students adheres to the school policies & procedures, should use proper channels of official communication and sensitizing them that they should not indulge in any such activity that can impact the institution repertoire.
International Baccalaureate Programme Counselling during the admission:
IBDP Programme counselling to all the prospective / qualified / interested students and parents focussing on the aspects of IB curriculum & experiential learnings, difference from the other curriculums and how the holistic approach can help the students for their higher education and future goals.
Helping them understand the superiority of IB education there by positioning the institution on how they will prepare students on their academic and non-academic needs for their higher studies globally.
Evaluate student’s eligibility and provide guidance on the admission process.
Provides campus tours for prospective parents and provide guidance on the variety of teaching initiatives taken by the school.
Facilitating parents meeting with the IBDP Coordinator and Group Chairmen on special request received from the parents during the admission process.
Assessments of the students on their previous achievements, interest, aptitudes, abilities and future career goals in order to help them with their subject choices and career planning.
Organising/administering and proctoring of the entrance test procedures.
Organising comprehensive counselling / orientations sessions on IBDP Curriculum for prospective students and parents
Facilitating the admission process and through checks of all the documents.
Academic Coordination & Career Development:
Any kind of academic assistance to IBDP Coordinator for smooth implementation of students’ academic plans and career objectives.
Initiating and organising psychometric assessments for the students to understand their strengths, interests, aptitudes for career guidance programme.
Conducting presentations where students are given information about the admission requirements of various countries, and application procedures.
Students / Parents counselling related to their personal and academic needs and keep motivating them
Guidance to the students on how to build a strong profile
Closely working with Career Advisor on college guidance, college application process, exchange programmes, career fairs, University visits
Other departments / stakeholders Management:
Closely working with the teachers / IBDP Coordinator / Management for smooth functioning of student’s academic and non-academic learning and other academic service operations
Coordinating with the administrative team on any parents / students’ academic need
Database Management:
Existing student / parents records and documentation for academic purpose
Student’s academic performance and profile records to help the career advisor in college application process
