Job Summary

HERE AND NOW is hiring for thoughtful and adaptive English Teachers. Candidates are responsible for maximizing the linguistic progress of the students they teach, working with colleagues to participate in the development of the culture of the organization. Candidates should promote a positive, purposeful and professional working atmosphere that encourages cooperation and challenge.

Potential teachers of HERE AND NOW must understand the difficulty of language acquisition and must display a love for teaching. Candidates are expected to be passionate about the English language that serves to motivate and encourage students. Candidates should have a strong knowledge of English culture and history.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Consistent involvement in extracurricular activities.

2. Facilitate efficient learning through interactive and collaborative sessions

3. Act as a source of accurate and reliable information to students

4. Identify the strengths of each student and adapt accordingly

5. Create a collaborative problem-solving environment where students become active participants in their own learning

Qualifications

1. Educational qualification: B.A English or M.A English

2. Familiarity with the CEFRL (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

3. Passion for teaching and commitment towards education

4. Respect for all members of the institution, irrespective of position, gender, age and ethnic background.

5. Previous experience working with language learning institutes is appreciated.

6. A positive and solution-focused attitude to working life.

7. Acceptable police checks (or equivalent) from the country of origin and from all other countries in which the applicant has worked and no question regarding suitability to work with children.

8. Appropriate references from current and previous employer, corroborated by personal phone calls made to each referee (for experienced candidates only)
