Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Get every possible student in our partner schools to register & engage with the ed-tech product (a mobile phone education application)

2. Visit teachers in schools across low-income communities & homes of some students as required

3. Conduct teacher & parent orientations & other activities within communities/schools

4. Encourage & motivate parents & teachers by sending SMS/WhatsApp (reminders), calls, etc.

Additional information:

1. Position: Social work intern (ed-tech app engagement project)

2. Employment type: 2-3 months part-time contract, which could convert to full-time employment

3. Working hours: Monday to Friday, 6-8 hours daily

4. Location: Mumbai

5. Joining: Immediately

6. Compensation: ₹ 10 to 25 thousand per month based on skill set & experience plus travel and communication reimbursements

As part of a national initiative to extend the benefits of ed-tech products to low-income communities, we will be testing the adoption of such a product (a mobile phone education application) among our children in low-fee schools. This product will be offered free of cost to the students for an entire year. We will study usage and learning outcomes from using this product at home.
